Copán

There are many reasons to visit Copan in the western region of Honduras, starting with the Main Archaeological Site including the Maya Sculpture Museum, which you can visit in a half day, or if you want to go a little more deeper you can also venture into the tunnels showing the temples the Maya built and buried in successive layers. For a longer stay, you can also visit Las Sepulturas, a residential area just beside the main site. There are plenty of other choices such as the Macaw Mountain Bird Park, Copan Coffee Tour, Luna Jaguar Hot Springs, and many more activities related to the daily life in this quaint little town.
