The garden is de second largest tropical botanical garden in the world. It was established in 1926 as an experimental site by the Tela Railroad Company Located next to the famous Caribbean port of Tela, you will find an opportunity to enjoy some of the best beaches of Honduras after touring the gardens.

Humuya River begins at General Francisco Morazan Dam better known as “El Cajon”. It is an excellent river for beginner tourists of all ages. Along the river we will go into 14 rapids, class II and III available and accessible all the time.

This river is 01-meter deep surrounded by tropical dry forest, where you easily see cactus, white frangipani, agaves, gumbo limbo, Ceibas and panama trees. Some relevant birds are motmots, cormorants, king fishers, brown jays, ospreys, swallow tail kites, orioles and much more. Iguanas and basilisks are also seemed along the river frequently.

Lovely forested mountains along the seashores of Omoa are part of the spectacular landscapes that creates lush tropical rain forest, surrounded by many wildlife habitats. In this Tour we will make a short hike along a small river up to a beautiful waterfall, which drops into a natural pool that is perfect for swimming.
