Humuya
River begins at General Francisco Morazan Dam better
known as “El Cajon”. It is an excellent
river for beginner tourists of all ages. Along the
river we will go into 14 rapids, class II and III available
and accessible all the time.
This river is 01-meter deep surrounded by tropical dry
forest, where you easily see cactus, white frangipani,
agaves, gumbo limbo, Ceibas and panama trees. Some relevant
birds are motmots, cormorants, king fishers, brown jays,
ospreys, swallow tail kites, orioles and much more. Iguanas
and basilisks are also seemed along the river frequently. |
